Biography

Darius is rather tight lipped (or what pass for lips) about his past

As a mortal, he was born as Plutarchos in the Parthian Empire around 100 AD.

Post Mordem

He originally was a monstrous vampire, reveling in his evil for two centuries, but was forced to enter torpor near the year 300 in Ctesiphon.

He awoke around the year 700, and fell in servitude to a mortal. This experience taught him humility and introduced him to Islam. His master died and Darius was freed to join with the Mutasharidin. He changed his name to Ebrahým al-Fadi.

He moved to Damascus. After studying Islam for many years, he attempted the Hajj, but was unable to enter the Holy City Mecca.

Taking the advise of the other Mutasharid, he began missionary work and moved to Cordoba in the western Al-Andalus region. He remained in this city for many centuries, even after the fall of the Caliphate.

Darius became obsessed with the histories of underground sewers, catacombs and fortifications of cities like Paris or Rome. He would often explore the depths to see how far they would go.

It was during one of the digs into the earth beneath New York that Darius found something. He discovered the existence of Earthbound demons. It scared him to his core and he fled the city, never quite recovering. He abandoned his name and became Darius.

He decided to go as far as possible from that thing and landed in Seattle with intentions of traveling to the Orient. Something about the simple township charmed him, and he elected to help the new Prince John Jameson find order and build a safe place for his family. It was because of his influence, and warring opinion with himself on the structure of a city that spawned so much contradiction with Seattle's city planning. Where New York had been a perfect grid, here Darius designed something less intuitive.

Darius is paranoid. He knows that politics get you killed, and Kindred pull one away from the purest pursuit of knowledge. He has ignored the city's politics as much as he can. He got his designs into the right hands, then disappeared into the shadows. He assisted in building the warrens and protecting them; educated his brethren when they asked.

Appearance

Enemy of orloff. Darius is against the EarthBound. But does he know the difference between the Fallen and Earth bound demons? How much does he know about demons?

Was he a thrall to the first Earthbound he encountered?

Having him be born in the second century ad makes him extremely old and Powerful even for Vampire. Maybe we should change it to 500 AD at the very least.

Perhaps instead of him being from Persia, he is Spanish and converted after the Islamic invasion of Spain
